Final Blog Assignment

Three Consequences with working with international awareness:

1) After doing a lot of research and not getting anyone to respond and help me with information about the Philippines. I came across a pastor and his wife to help, but they were so busy it was hard to get in contact with them. I just wish I could of had more information to share with my colleagues about the country I chose to explore which was the Philippines.

2) Not being able to learn as much about the Philippines is another consequence. I know there is a lot I could have learned through other people, but in turn I am wanting to explore on the web and learn as much as possible to be able to share with anyone about education in another country.

3)  After exploring the other sites which was the alternative site for this class. There was some things I really had no clue was going on in other countries. That fact of knowing other countries deal with the same things, but just sometimes worse than we do. That is amazing to me you do not think of it being worse, but it can be.

My main goal I have set out for myself is to be able to explore more about the international awareness with dealing with Issue and Trends. Want to be able to research the web to know as much as possible about the Philippines when it comes to the way they run their education program.

Robin, it's amazing how much we can learn from a newsletter isn't it? I too, could not contact anyone. But I did learn a lot from the information from the websites, things I did not even know.

Despite the rapid growth of the Philippines as a developing country, there are a number of areas that need educational assistance for Filipino children. However, a number of private and government organizations have implemented programs to address such issues but a lot of work still needs to be done. Certainly, these issues are not indigenous to the Philippines, all countries experience issues and challenges surrounding the development of the early childhood field but they are more severe in some countries than in others. It was great working with you. I wish you all the best as you continue your academic journey.

I agree that it was inspiring and eye opening to step into the International community and see how united we are as Educators. The suffering was heart breaking but the determination and dedication of the professionals world wide was truly inspiring.
