Sharing Web Resources

When I first thought about exploring another country the one that came to mind was wanting to know more about the philippines. That was because a senior pastor and his wife have been there and talk highly about the things they have done over in the philippines, but I have had a hard time of getting a hold of them to get any information. I decided I would explore the childrensdefense.com and the site savethechildren.org.
Both of the sites have a lot of information for anyone to explore and get good insight from. The main topic that was relevant to my current professional development would be the topic "Be Careful What you Cut". The site is talking about funding for education for our children. The article is exploring a budget of where the education cuts are not included, but we need to be very careful of what we cut, education for our children are very important. If there are too many things cut it could effect the education we are providing for our children in our care. Children need to have every opportunity to learn and at their own pace.
When exploring savethechildren.org site there were several other countries that can be explored the Philippines is one I wanted to know more about. Save the children has worked in the Philippines for more than 30 years. There are alot of children around the world who do not have what everyone else has. Some children do not have food, clothing or even an education. I know there are boxes shipped around the world to help children get some supplies they can not afford.
I know after exploring both web sites it did give me some more insight, understanding, and support for the early childhood field. Not only does it talk about the cuts in education, but there are some other topics that deal with children likke the child protection, Education, Health/nutrition, and Hiv/Aids all of these go hand in hand with child education.
My goal is to explore more and more of these websites there is a lot of new insight you can gain from the different sites. Especially exploring the different countries on the children defense fund it can give you a lot more information and then some.
I am still going to try to get a hold of the pastor and see what kind of new information they can give me to help me learn more on the Philippines. I did find a picture of a beach and was amazed of how beautiful the water was.
