Competent Communicator

I would have to say the person who has good communication skills would be my father. He is the person who has encouraged me to go back to school and get my degree. Without him in my life I am not sure what I would of done with my career. He is a person who has good knowledge and understanding about certain things. I can call him about a situation I have going on and he will be able to steer me in the right direction. My dad always knows how to communicate well with family members as well as other in the world. He is a Godly person and I know all of his feelings are coming from God he steers him in the right direction or knows what people to put him in contact with.

I would hope that someday I can model what my father does he a person who cares about everyone that he comes in contact with. I know with having the back ground from my father it can give me good ways to communicate with the parents. I need to be as positive as possible to give the families the best knowledge they need.

My goal is to learn as much about communication because the job we have we need to know how to talk to the families we serve on a daily basis. I know in the last class I learned that there are certain ways to speak to people, so I hope to learn alot about communication in this course as well.
